Pasadena, CA February 12, 2004–Supporters from around the world and from the entertainment industry ban together to save Pasadena’s Historic Raymond Theatre. The Raymond Theatre (Perkins Palace) is a historic and cultural landmark on the National Register of Historic Places. Over the theater’s 82-year history, it has presented entertainment ranging from vaudeville, movies, theater and concerts. The theatre was known in recent years as Perkins Palace, and was once one of LA’s top concert venues. Artists such as Phil Collins, Bruce Springsteen, Tina Turner, Fleetwood Mac, Willie Nelson, Van Halen and many others have graced its stage. Promoters such as Bill Graham Presents, Avalon Attractions (Clear Channel), Goldenvoice (Anhutz) and Zamparelli Presents all produced concerts at the venue.
