In our modern digital era, just about all the large dependable auto insurance companies offer online quotes. However, is it really possible to get the best price from the large, well known companies? Or can you get a lower rate by going with a smaller company? 99 times out of 100, you will.

This is typical business strategy. Every business wants to be big. Once a company has spent millions in advertising themselves to create a brand name, they can charge more because their name attracts customers. There is more profit to be made if they position themselves as more friendly, or more responsive, or more whatever it is that makes themselves look good. The last thing that a business wants is to compete on offering the lowest price. By definition, there is not much profit in that.
