From riding a bike to playing football America wears a lot of helmets. But is America wearing the proper helmet for the sport and one that meets CPSC standards? Hopefully the answer is yes, but if you are about to purchase discount helmets for your needs you want to make sure that you are not sacrificing safety for cost.
You do need to however make sure that you are purchasing a helmet no matter what price that meets DOT and CSPC standards. More than 500, 000 people each year are treated annually for the sole factor that they were either not wearing a helmet or the incorrect helmet for the sport.

There is no doubt that texting while driving is a lethal combination. But, if one stops for a minute to think about all of the distractions we face as drivers, texting may be the least of our worries.
First is cell phone use. This was atop the distractions list for years, so much so that most states and cities now require the use of a non-hand held phone unit. This can involve a speakerphone or a headset, or other devices that keep the hands free. You might have seen scenarios that involve drivers driving too slow, or too fast, stopping at stop signs a little too late, or ignoring traffic signage. Of course, they are doing this all while talking on the phone. With or without the actual hand held talking on the phone, they can get you distracted.
