You should take the following things for the installation of a new wrangler radio in your jeep. They are panel tool, Phillips screw driver and a wrench of 10 mm. The first thing needed for this is you should remove any tapes, CD which is already running in the system which you are going to remove. The next thing is you should turn off power of the vehicle. Then the negative connection of the battery should be removed so that you can avoid any short circuits or shocks that you might incur during its installation.

Then take your next thing that is the panel tool. With the help of it remove the trim panel. For that first find its location. It is located at the dash’s top. It has got heating vents and AC. This trim panel is pried up because the panel’s top position is almost exposed. The receiver is totally surrounded by its top.

Two screws are provided on the receiver’s top side. They will be seen after the vent is peered in the previous step. They are removed. The trim is peered off, from the receiver with the help of the panel kit. Once it is peered you will observe four screws, on the radio’s edges. These are also removed.

Then you should go on for removing the screws used for holding the panel for control of the climate. Those are located beneath the opening of your radio. Then the next step is lowering its glove box. This is done by opening that glove box. Then the strap which is retained is slowed down and the box is carefully lowered down.

Then, Using a wrench that is of ten millimeters, the bolts that are 10 millimeters long are removed. These bolts are removed from the outside by going through glove compartment and the back of the radio. These bolts hold the back of the radio in place. After this bolt is removed, the radio can be easily pulled out from the dash. The other wirings that are at its rear are disconnected including an antenna plug. It may be pulled directly from the rear.

Now the new radio is taken. The wires and the antenna are connected to their respective sites. Then it is placed and bolt is tightened. Now the screws which we removed are fixed back to their place.
